THE STORY BEHIND

Long time ago there were two Dutch school teachers on Curaçao; Ton Surbach and Teun Schram. They played the gitar and sing everywhere they could as "The Singing Teachers". Together they wrote the song about this lady asking Jozef: "Oh Jozef Jozef when are we going to get married. We have been engaged for more than 20 years. I can't wait any longer. My hair is grey, my teeth falling out.”
